Quick test, mixed
Quick IQ test
Matrices, number series and rotated shapes, from easy to hard. In a quarter of an hour, your IQ with its margin of error and every question explained.
Full test
Profile by area
Abstract, numerical, verbal and spatial. Besides your overall IQ you get your profile: where you stand out and where you have room to improve.
Matrices only, Raven-style
Progressive matrices
Abstract reasoning with shapes only, the classic format of non-verbal intelligence tests. From one rule to four at once.
By area
Number series
Find the rule each series follows and say which number comes next. From simple sums to interleaved series.
By area
Verbal reasoning
Analogies, synonyms and the odd one out. It measures how you relate concepts, not how much vocabulary you have.
By area
Spatial rotation
One rotated figure among several mirrored ones. It measures whether you can move shapes in your head without flipping them.
Free all the way
Many “free” tests ask for your card at the end and sign you up without warning. Here the full result is always free.
New questions every time
The items are generated when you start. If you retake it, you don’t repeat questions: memory doesn’t inflate the result.
With a margin of error
No test gives an exact number. We show you the range your score falls in with 90% probability.
Every question, explained
When you finish you can review every question, your answer, the correct one and the rule that solves it.
Methodology
How your IQ is calculated
Each question has a known difficulty. From your right and wrong answers, an item response theory model estimates your level taking into account which questions you got right, not just how many, and discounting the probability of guessing.
That level is expressed on the usual IQ scale: mean 100 and standard deviation 15. A 115 means you beat roughly 84% of the reference population.
Important: this is an indicative estimate, not a diagnosis. Only a psychologist using a standardised test under controlled conditions can measure IQ with clinical validity. The norms are being adjusted with the data of the people who take the test.
Privacy: when you finish we store your answers anonymously (which questions you get right and how long you take) to refine the difficulty of the questions. We don’t store your name, email or IP address.
Frequently asked questions
Is the IQ test free?
Yes. The full result, with the profile by area and the solutions, is free. We don’t ask for an email or payment details.
How is IQ calculated?
An item response theory model estimates your level from which questions you get right and their difficulty, discounting lucky guesses. It is expressed on the scale with mean 100 and standard deviation 15.
Is this an official IQ test?
No. It is an indicative estimate. Only a psychologist using a standardised test under controlled conditions can measure IQ with clinical validity.
Can I retake the test?
Yes. The questions are generated when you start, so every attempt has new questions of the same difficulty.
Finish the test?
Keyboard: 1–8 to choose, ← → to move. Unanswered questions count as wrong.

Where you stand out
Each area has fewer questions than the whole test, so its margin of error (the horizontal line) is larger. Small differences between areas are not significant.
